Dear Creative Friends
Thank you for joining the Biz community!
Could you possibly help us with our latest project? We're looking for editors, sub-editors, writers, photographers, translators and volunteers for a new Japan travel website and magazine with editions in English, Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean... The aim is to show visitors the most interesting and useful ways to enjoy Japan, via reports from those of us who live here and know the unique points of the culture and country.
It's a big project with a fantastic portal style website in four languages that is ready to be released soon with 1000s of articles about traveling in Japan. The Tiger/Biz Crew have been asked to turn it into a popular portal/media site by filling it daily with new articles about current topics for people visiting Japan, and it will also become a monthly free printed magazine in English and Chinese.
Although it is associated with a major Japanese newspaper and other publishers, and some large ad agencies, so it could become a very successful media, at first we will have very little budget, so we're hoping to create a team of volunteers and near-volunteers, supported by some top professionals in their fields. This would be an opportunity to break into publishing in Japan, make new contacts and get new job opportunities, and we plan to internally promote the most dedicated and skilled team members to higher paid positions too. Team members are welcome to visit and work in our Shibuya office, but we are also happy to work remotely via email, phone and the website infrastructure. We're also interested in re-publishing any freelancers' work that has been used elsewhere. And would love to hear all your ideas, and insider hints for the best spots and activities for travelers to enjoy...
